Why the binder

Corinne spent her first years in practice settling estates. Again and again, the family had a will somewhere, a deed nobody had changed and an account still in a dead parent’s name.

So she drafts the whole plan at once: the will or trust, the deed, the beneficiary forms and both powers of attorney. Then she puts the originals in one binder, with a first page that says where everything is and who acts first.

She often meets the grown children too, with the parent’s permission, so they know where the binder is and what it says.
